"I've been using ISW since 2015, and their instruments have shown up in Into the Breach and Subnautica Below Zero, and in nearly all of my solo albums. Shreddage helped me fill in the gaps around my own guitar performances. Super Audio Cart provided some great raw synth sounds for parts of Below Zero. Impact Soundworks is often the first place I go to when I'm shopping for a new project. Everything they make works and sounds great."

"A big thanks to the team at Impact Soundworks for putting inspiration at my fingertips! Your sample libraries are in heavy use in my Orchestral, Rock and Pop templates, and always visible in my top-tier Cue-specific Kontakt. Layering your Shreddage libraries on top of my live guitar tracks creates so much depth, and I get so much out of so many of your other libraries - too many to name. A+ programming and sonic goodness gang!"

"I'm a keyboard player -- I can't even make a REAL guitar sound convincing. But Telos and Rosette are my go-to guitars because they sound incredible, sit well in a mix and are so easy to configure to my personal playing habits. I'm constantly discovering new ways to play them and they've saved my ass more times than I can count. And the pedal Steel is still my favorite library of its kind for Country, Folk and organic layering behind synths."
We’re always looking for new voices to inspire us. For Sylvan Volume 1, we called on the imagination and evocative style of fantasy/folk singer Jordi Storm. The resulting sample library is a marvelous collection of phrases that can be seamlessly integrated into existing tracks or used as a starting point for new compositions.
Sylvan Volume 1 captures Jordi’s signature vocal style, inspired by nature, folk traditions, and the fantastic. He makes full use of his impressive range here: from the textural bass tones of his lower register to the soaring sweetness of his upper register and even a touch of falsetto.
The evocative nature of Jordi’s musicality comes through in the names for each phrase category: four elvish collections (Eldarin, Ethuil, Menel, and Nalta) and eight named for nature (Falling Star, Crystal Winter, Turning Seasons, and Distant Lands; Ancient Shore, Ethereal Winds, Voices of the Forest, and Celestia).
Just like we did with Allura and Charisma, we focused on making this collection as usable and inspiring as possible.
Sylvan Volume 1 groups its 144 phrases into easily searched groups with detailed tags. Because freeform phrases can be challenging to work with, all performances were recorded to a set tempo so that they are easier to incorporate into your writing. The whole collection covers multiple modes and time signatures.
Each phrase has been recorded across 4 keys; all phrases can be played in any key. The phrases are wordless, featuring a broad span of different syllables (oo, ah, hey, hai, ha, no, ee, eh, ra, ya, ka) but no distracting lyrics.
And if you don’t want to use our very flexible Kontakt engine for finding, editing, and playing phrases, you can simply use them directly in your DAW with clearly labeled WAVs.
Jordi Storm is a vocalist, composer, and multi-instrumentalist from Finland, by way of England. In addition to his primary instrument, the Celtic harp, he plays the Finnish kantele, Irish low whistle, and more.
In his own solo music, Jordi loves singing in his own constructed language, Etherean. His voice can be heard as half of Forest Elves, in the game Lineage W by NCSoft, and on Tomoki Miyoshi’s official arrange album for Square-Enix’s Lost Sphear. His Celtic harp work appears in the VR game Tin Hearts, as well.
Reviews
Testimonial – Jimmy ‘Big Giant Circles’ Hinson (Black Ops 4, Borderlands 2, Threes)
“Between Shreddage, Super Audio Cart, Juggernaut, and Mega Brass I don’t remember the last time I haven’t used an Impact Soundworks instrument in a track. The attention to detail is astonishing and it’s all so easy to use out of the box, which is a big deal.”
