"I never would have thought that sampled guitars could sound as good as ISW's do. The fact that I can use them to lay down a realistic solo is unprecedented. They’ve pushed the boundaries of realism."

About the Library

We’ve been in the business of making virtual guitars for well over a decade, and each generation is bigger and better than the one that came before. Shreddage 2 IBZ, one of our older best-sellers, was renowned for its bright, brutal tone. Shreddage 3 Rogue builds on that remarkable sound and adds the power, realism, and user-friendliness of the updated Shreddage 3.5 engine. The result is our brightest, most in-your-face guitar perfect for crunchy rhythms and searing leads that can cut easily through any mix. It offers a full range of detailed articulations and performance techniques.

With 7 strings and drop-A tuning, this classic Japanese guitar is perhaps the most legendary hard rock & metal axe ever created. It has a bright, biting and aggressive tone emphasizing the pick and attack of each note, compared with the much darker sound of Shreddage 3.5 Jupiter. From lightning-fast chugs to sweeps and soaring leads, this virtual guitar will take your hi-octane tracks to the next level.

Articulations

Our array of articulations have you covered for a full, realistic performance and include sustains, with hammer-ons and pull-offs when appropriate; mutes; staccato; power chord sustains, mutes, and staccato; natural, artificial, and pinch harmonics; chokes; tremolo; tapping; rakes; legato slides and power chord slides; pitched, power chord pitched, and unpitched releases; and FX. Articulations are easy to adjust and remap with the TACT 3.0 articulation system, and NKS is supported for more parameters.

Shreddage 3 Rogue includes an updated version of TACT allowing you to customize how all articulations are mapped and triggered! Everyone has their own preferences for how to perform or write for virtual guitar, and with TACT you can create the perfect setup for your DAW.

Console Modular FX Rack & Mixer

Console is our mixer, modular effects rack, and pedal board, designed to give you full control over your virtual guitar tone with 30 effects modules to choose from!

These include multiple EQs (digital and analog-style), compressors, spatial FX, modulation FX, amps, distortion pedals, reverbs, and a selection of over 30 custom cabinet IRs recorded just for Shreddage 3! These cabs cover all the most important sounds you would want, with both dynamic & condenser mics in multiple positions plus a ribbon mic for certain models.

Using Console, you can easily save and load FX chains or presets between projects or even different Shreddage 3 products. It also allows you to mix and blend between guitar pickups, with custom inserts on each if you’d like.

Shreddage 3 Rogue – Sound on Sound

“Soundwise, IBZ succeeds in delivering a tight, bright and aggressive sound that’s suitable for metal, but rock musicians and sound designers shouldn’t disregard it. Reducing the preamp gain is all that’s needed to take the instrument from metal to general rock territory, for example.”

Shreddage 3 Series – Sample Library Review

“Impact Soundworks have blown the lid off my DAW with Shreddage 3. This is the electric guitar library I have long been looking for. Whether you want a rocking rhythm guitarist, a wailing, screaming guitar soloist, or simply a tool for writing your own rhythm and solo guitar parts, Shreddage 3 fits the bill. You can easily write a full rock track with Shreddage 3 that sounds authentic and believable. It’s hard to ask for much more than that.”

Shreddage 2 IBZ – Bedroom Producers Blog

“The first word Impact Soundworks use when listing the key features on their page is “brutal”, but I’d say “versatile” is the best word to describe Shreddage 2 IBZ. Though metal was the goal and its not a guitar for every application, Shreddage 2 IBZ is a great and very detailed library suitable for any music where being heavy-handed and aggressive is better than being smooth.”

Shreddage 2 IBZ – Sample Library Review

“I had a blast getting to know Shreddage 2 IBZ… It’s priced very low for what you get giving you the ability to create dead-on realistic heavy guitar parts! … It’s been years since my guitar chops were good enough for a face-melting metal solo but with the extensive deep sampling and attention to controls [IBZ] has me pumping my devil horns into the air and believing every note of my programmed guitar parts were real. With a beautifully sampled tone and ease of use […] any composer with some MIDI chops can shred as a metal god.”
