Saga 2: Organic Alien Percussion is a vast collection of bizarre and unique percussion instruments that sound like they could have been created by alien civilizations. There’s nothing electronic or robotic here – only instruments made from organic materials from other planets, crafted by our galactic neighbors. Although the 194 instruments found here are not quite like anything ever heard before here on Earth, we’ve organized them into 6 familiar categories – Auxiliary, Cymbals & Gongs, Large Drums, Medium Drums, Small Drums, and Tonal Percussion. We hope these new sounds astound, inspire, and provide fresh alternatives for your sonic palette.

Brand-new instruments created through creative recording and sound design, perfect for everything from soundtracks and epic trailers to EDM. Push each instrument even further with automated gate, or use the cutoff and resonance to change the sound completely.
Easy auditioning and tweaking
Percussion patches have one unique drum per key, making it very easy to find and audition the perfect sound. No complex keyswitches needed. Edit all drums in a patch at once, or one-at-a-time.

"ISW creates some of the most inspiring & realistic guitar sample libraries. I had to write a bunch of really gritty, angry heavy metal & sports action rock cues. I used Shreddage 3 Serpent for leads and was blown away by its onboard processing, programming, and amazing live-sounding leads. I also created a signature sound based on the lead guitar in David Lynch's Twin Peaks series, originally played on baritone guitar. [Serpent] built a convincing replica of that sound just using on-board FX. It was so fun and easy to do!"

Instruments from ISW are a staple of my soundtrack work for games. Vocalisa has been a mainstay vocal aesthetic of nearly every game I've worked on including Celeste & Chicory: A Colorful Tale. Shreddage 3 has also given me the confidence to write some really fun guitar riffs & solos despite not being able to play a real one. I've started incorporating Tokyo Scoring Strings into the acoustic side of my scoring work, and can't wait to try out more from ISW in the future!
OK, what did we REALLY do? For our most ambitious sound design library to date, we created a massive template comprising every percussion instrument from Red Room Audio’s extensive collection, as well as hundreds of new field and found instrument recordings. We painstakingly lined up every round robin sample and dynamic layer, and then creatively twisted, layered, morphed and sculpted each one to create re-imagined, otherworldly instruments you’ve never heard before.
This multi-sampled approach is what makes Saga 2 unique, as these are not just a series of one-shot sound designs. These are extremely rich, organic and playable instruments you can slot right alongside traditional percussion to add a unique twist to your compositions.
