Join Our Advisory Board

Impact Soundworks is building a team of trusted advisors to help our company build the products musicians need, reach bigger audiences across the world, and create inspiration for as many people as possible.

The purpose of our Advisory Board is to help Impact Soundworks by:

  • Providing advice and guidance on business strategy and operations.
  • Aiding in evaluating major opportunities, talking through major decisions.
  • Representing the interests of diverse communities and users.
  • Giving us objective feedback, external to our organization.

We are welcoming new members to the board who wish to make an impact (no pun intended) on a music software company serving over 500,000 users.

Responsibilities and Schedule

We aim to hold four board meetings (virtual) per year, each about one hour long. Attending these meetings is the primary requirement. Prior to the meetings, you'll receive a summary of the structured meeting agenda along with any critical information about topics of discussion. We ask you to review this in advance.

There may be ad hoc communication between these meetings, which you may participate in as your schedule allows. Meetings will be scheduled weeks in advance at a time when all members are available.

You will also be invited to a Slack channel on our company server, should you wish to engage in any real-time communication and stay apprised of our activities. This is optional.

Note: This is a non-employee, informal role. You will not be considered an employee or contractor of Impact Soundworks, nor will you have any fiduciary or legal responsibility or liability.

Our Committment to Board Members

In consideration of your time and attention, we offer to each member a gift of $100 per meeting attended. Using this to enjoy a nice meal and drink during the meeting is optional, but encouraged!

We also offer access to our entire catalog of instruments, samples, and plugins in the form of NFR licenses. Advisory board members may request up to 5 NFR licenses (for themselves, their team, friends, etc.) per meeting attended.

Lastly, we believe communication, feedback, and advice is a two-way street. We are committed to offering our resources and network to help you and your organization in whatever way we can.
