Sonic Forest – Producer Spot

“Today I found something very special. A library that is extremely creative, well-designed, affordable, and even for good cause. I’m talking about “Sonic Forest” by Impact Soundworks. This library is based on a one it’s a kind instrument, sampled with a lot of depth and precision to create a unique sound, but beyond that Sonic Forest has a lot more to offer. (ProducerSpot.com)

Shreddage Bass: Picked Edition – Waveformless

“As with their previous libraries, Impact Soundworks has done a bang-up job with Shreddage Bass: Picked Edition. The recordings are pristine, the matching between samples is perfect, and, provided you take a realistic playing technique to mind, it sounds uncannily real in use. One of the things I find especially appealing about these samples is that the tone is a sort of perfect neutral starting point. […] It’s hard to think of a style these samples wouldn’t work in. […] If you’re looking for a good, flexible library of electric bass sounds, this would be a great place to start! (10/10)” Tom Shear (Waveformless)

Juggernaut – Waveformless

“The Drums & FX section […] is fantastic. Again, these are heavily-processed, loud, in your face sounds. If you want something subtle, you’ll probably want to look elsewhere, but if you want some aggressive drum, percussion, and FX sounds, this has those in abundance. […] This is a great place to look if you need some hard and gritty drum samples.”

Groove Bias – Waveformless

“If you’ve been frustrated trying to find these types of vintage drum sounds, you probably didn’t even bother reading this far and have already placed your order. But for those who need further convincing, just take a listen to the demos on Impact Soundworks’ website […] This is a great sounding collection of the types of drums that aren’t exactly abundant on the sample library market these days.”

Plectra Series 3: Kazakh Dombra – Voxcaliber

“There’s even more to [Kazakh Dombra] that we’ve skipped over, like reverb, the cool legato hammer-ons, and more keyswitch instruments. The programming is very well done on this instrument, even more impressive for the price. For $29, it’s a no-brainer for composers and anyone looking for unique ethnic flair in his or her sample library.”

Shreddage Bass 2 – The Audio Spotlight

The sound is extremely warm & clean with very nice attacks. The release samples really enhance the realism. Of course the sound of Shreddage Bass 2 is most suited for rock & metal, but I’m sure it can work with any style. I’ve been using it for about 10 days now in many of my tracks of various genres and it has worked in every single one… It will be my go-to electric bass library… In my opinion [it’s] worth every penny. Whether you are a metalhead like me or just need a good electric bass in your music, [it] will surely not disappoint!”

Impact: Steel – The Audio Spotlight

“All the sounds in this collection could probably be classified as found sounds, but Impact’s imaginative sound designers got much more creative than simply hitting things and calling it a day. The FX Patches, in particular, supply a veritable gold mine of clangorous sonorities, with three complete junk-metal ensembles that would give an Indonesian gamelan nightmares.” Geary Yelton and Len Sasso (The Audio Spotlight)

Koto Nation – Sounds and Gear

“This is all that really matters at the end of the day for most, and this has a very detailed, authentic sound. For me, it’s awesome, it’s not a general use, all around instrument. It’s specific to the instruments it covers, and it covers them well. […] At the end of the day, a great sound is a great sound, and with all the articulations in this library it’s really easy to find what you need. It’s priced well within the reach of everyone from hobbyists to professional composers, so that’s always a plus.” (4.5/5)

Rhapsody: Orchestral Percussion – SoundBytes Magazine

“Impact Soundworks Rhapsody Orchestral Percussion is the sort of mature, stable product that I would expect from a developer with many orchestral releases under its belt and has been a complete pleasure to use. If you are looking for a bread and butter orchestral library, and especially if you also have use for the Latin and African additions, I would strongly recommend checking out this product. It’s competitively priced, fun, easy to use, flexible in a mix, and has an effortlessness to the recordings that communicates well to the listener.” Per Lichtman (SoundBytes Magazine)
