Fredonia Grand Organ – ShadyCicada
“Fredonia Grand Organ sounds absolutely gigantic, and it’s been a perfect outlet for me to convey more intense emotions in my tracks (especially villain and boss battle themes)!”
Tokyo Scoring Strings – ShadyCicada
“I’ve been using Tokyo Scoring Strings for everything from soft emotional tracks to video game battle themes. The amount of intimacy and feeling you can get out of it is incredibly varied!”
Archtop – Film and Game Composers
“Its lineage and pedigree aside, ISW simply know how to capture an electric guitar and in what manner it needs to translate for non guitar people, and those on a deadline not keen on hours of tuition. I mean seriously, for some libraries you spend so much time, it makes you wonder if it was more practical just learning the damn thing! Im [sic] not shocked that ISW pulled it off going by Shreddage.”

Pearl Concert Grand – Film and Game Composers
“I was enjoying the simple act of playing it so much I almost forgot to test all of its features. There are many ways to customize its sound on your own, but I like that Impact Soundworks have crafted many presets, touch responses, mic positions for me to use. My 88 key Yamaha keyboard with GHS (Graded Hammer Standard) weighted action, together with Pearl, is the perfect combo for grand piano playing and recording.” (4.5/5)

Ventus Winds Ocarinas – SoundBytes Magazine
“Every note in every layer is superbly recorded and pre-programmed, so there are never any level issues between different pitches…And let’s not forget to mention that legato notes are sampled at sufficient lengths, preventing those looping annoyances that some virtual wind instruments can have. I’m also glad that Impact Soundworks didn’t just cram in a whole bunch of melodic phrases and instead added some ‘flutters’ and thriller / banding phrases that can be used occasionally inside melody phrases, making this instrument even more realistic.”

Groove Bias – SoundBytes Magazine
“Groove Bias is distinct from a lot of other libraries I’ve tested aiming for the era and style. From the emphasis on close miking (only some have even an overhead or room) to the surprisingly deep sampling for the price, to the easy user interface, it offers something quite different…If you like your drums to feel, intimate, round and full of vibe with a heavy emphasis on close-miking, then this is a great library for you.”

Sonic Forest – SoundBytes Magazine
“Sonic Forest has unusual sounds that aren’t likely a part of most people’s existing sonic palettes…They are especially useful for soundtrack composers and very relevant to ambient, contemplative or even horror cues…The process of adjusting the sound usually delivers the fun that the product promises and you may find yourself hitting randomize ten or twelve times just to hear a few close variations of a basic sound just for the heck of it.”

Django Gypsy Jazz Guitar – SoundBytes Magazine
“…there’s a bounce, energy and liveliness to the samples that exceeds what I’ve heard in any other acoustic guitar library…From every comparison I’ve heard so far, Impact Soundworks has the only library that’s been able to nail this specific sound. Major kudos are in order…Even if you aren’t looking for that specific style and are just looking for a great nylon guitar library with some bounce and life to it, then it’s still one of the best I’ve ever heard.”

Javanese Gamelan – SoundBytes Magazine
“So if you’re interested in the authentic timbres of the metallophones of the Javanese Gamelan, this sample set is definitely for you. And more, if you’re interested in modifying the timbres, mixing them, detuning them, harmonising them in definitely non-traditional manners, and in fact, using the basic traditional timbres as a basis for your own post-post-modern twistings and manglings, then this sample set is also definitely for you…the fact that the set has Impact’s impeccable sound quality ought to be enough to convince anyone with the slightest interest in traditional or extended uses of Javanese Gamelan timbres to leap at the chance of owning this set. If you do, you won’t be disappointed.”

Modern Harpejji – SoundBytes Magazine
“…this is a very versatile instrument that can play a lot of timbres and tunings in a variety of styles. The sound quality is excellent and the programming is very clever…Impact has a winner on their hands here, I think.”

Ventus Winds Bansuri – The Audio Spotlight
“This is a rather refreshing item on Impact Soundworks’ catalogue of instruments and it gives a rather new and fresh approach to ethnic woodwinds. It doesn’t do much, because it is a single specific instrument, but for what it does, it does it in an amazing way. The greatest thing about it is that it is very affordable!”

Bravura Scoring Brass – The Audio Spotlight
“Not many brass sample libraries have a piccolo trumpet, but this instrument is extremely useful. Just look at any John Williams score and you will surely find a piccolo trumpet in there somewhere. [Bravura’s] piccolo trumpet has a nice round tone in the lower registers and in the lower dynamic range. Also, not many sample libraries offer a Flugelhorn and the [Bravura] one has a very nice tone to it…All instruments in the [Bravura] trumpet family have an inspiring legato and are able to produce very realistic melodic lines. The [Bravura] trumpet family will for this reason alone stay in my orchestral template.”
