Impact Soundworks make detailed, emotive instruments. I’ve happily bought over two dozen of their libraries which should say everything. They get used every day.

"ISW creates amazing, creative, and intuitive virtual instruments! I’ve enjoyed using them for over a decade, and they have found their way into many of my music scores. Their wonderfully realistic world instruments showed up in a recent Nexon video game, Shreddage 3 Stratus on the score for Grid, and Super Audio Boy is a favorite for retro sounds, effects, and fun nostalgia. Highly recommended!"

Instruments from ISW are a staple of my soundtrack work for games. Vocalisa has been a mainstay vocal aesthetic of nearly every game I've worked on including Celeste & Chicory: A Colorful Tale. Shreddage 3 has also given me the confidence to write some really fun guitar riffs & solos despite not being able to play a real one. I've started incorporating Tokyo Scoring Strings into the acoustic side of my scoring work, and can't wait to try out more from ISW in the future!
Special Reserves: Sylvan Vocal Layers features the ethereal voice of male vocalist Jordi Storm. With a range from C1 to C5, this extremely straightforward library uses Jordi’s unique vocal style for wordless textures that you can layer and shape however you want.
Whether you’re filling in background vocals for a pop song or looking for a shimmering chorus to add some life to a media scoring project, Sylvan Vocal Layers gives you the same breathy, evocative textures of your favorite vocal libraries in a deeper range that you don’t often see.
Sylvan Vocal Layers is designed to be easy for composers to use. Based on the same interface as Allura Pop Stacks, your options are endless, but finding them is easy. Jordi has recorded each note on oohs, ahs, and mms 5 times each. That means you have plenty of freedom to sculpt your sound before you even dig into options like the stereo width or breathiness.
Jordi’s haunting voice is perfect for adding depth to an arrangement, or for creating shimmering walls of background harmony. With three wordless syllables and up to five voices for each note, you have an incredible breadth of sounds and several easy ways to expand them, making this a crucial piece of any media composer’s toolkit.
Jordi Storm is a vocalist, composer, and multi-instrumentalist from Finland, by way of England. In addition to his primary instrument, the Celtic harp, he plays the Finnish kantele, Irish low whistle, and more.
In his own solo music, Jordi loves layering his voice in thick walls of vocal harmony, and singing in his own constructed language, Etherean. His voice can be heard as half of Forest Elves, in the game Lineage W by NCSoft, and on Tomoki Miyoshi’s official arrange album for Square-Enix’s Lost Sphear. His Celtic harp work appears in the VR game Tin Hearts, as well.
The Special Reserves series delivers production-ready sounds that are streamlined and extremely easy to use. Created by Impact Soundworks co-founder Andrew Aversa, each entry in the series is designed around a single sonic concept, polished to a mirror shine and ready to drop in your next hit soundtrack or record. Sporting just 8 simple controls, these instruments make it as simple as possible to get great results.

Testimonial – Jimmy ‘Big Giant Circles’ Hinson (Black Ops 4, Borderlands 2, Threes)
“Between Shreddage, Super Audio Cart, Juggernaut, and Mega Brass I don’t remember the last time I haven’t used an Impact Soundworks instrument in a track. The attention to detail is astonishing and it’s all so easy to use out of the box, which is a big deal.”
