Announcing Sitar Nation

We are excited to announce that our upcoming product, Sitar Nation: Classical Instruments of India, will be released October 20th, 2008! The audio content of the library has been greatly expanded, and its feature set improved since we initially posted about it. Though we have remained mostly silent on exact product details – we will post the complete patch list and manual on October 20th – here are some of the highlights:

• The most detailed samples of the Indian sitar, tampura, tabla and baya ever to be released
• Extensive multisamples, velocity layers and round robins were recorded for all instruments
• Multiple versions of every patch with variable spatial positioning, from close to ambient
• A set of special “FX patches” with meticulous realtime and offline processing, creating entirely new sounds out of the core audio
• Over 2.4 gigabytes of unlocked, 24/44.1 audio content in WAV format, programmed for Kontakt 2 and above

Psychesphere – A wide range of patches from our library (non-FX) used in the context of an electronic, ‘psychedelic’ composition written for a video game.

Dark Exploration – Dark, tense underscore created entirely using Sitar Nation sounds (primarily FX patches.)

Sitar Nation will be priced at $119 (US) as a physical DVD product, and will be available for purchase right from our website’s Purchase page. Since it will not be a downloadable product (due to size) we will be using Paypal to accept payments.
